Youth Ministry “Project 52″
What is Project 52?
Project 52 is a ministry that challenges the Middle and High School students of New Life Providence to radically live as passionate followers of Jesus Christ through discipleship, intercession and community outreach. Our goal is to create a well-rounded youth ministry that has something to offer for every young person. We strive to take the hand of each young person and connect him or her to the hand of God so that they will grasp and understand that they were created for relationship with Him.
The name Project 52 (PJ/52) comes from the Old Testament book of Nehemiah, where the walls of Jerusalem lay in ruins for over 120 years, until one man’s obedience and determination to serve God was able to rally and battle to see this humanly impossible project accomplished within 52 days with the power and anointing of God. This ultimately led to a citywide revival. In the same way, we as the youth group of New Life Providence desire to be radically obedient to God in our desire to see the spiritual walls of our community rebuilt for the purpose of citywide revival.
What does a Saturday Night Youth Service look like?
Project 52 offers a combined High and Middle School service which meets from 5:30 pm to 9:30 pm at our Deep Creek Campus. This event is the open door for the youth ministry and is design for both churched and un-churched students.
From 5:30 pm – 6:00 pm we will have our Red Carpet Pre-Party.
From 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm, our youth service will include a powerful worship service, gender specific small groups, and a dynamic teaching time.
From 8:00 pm – 9:30 pm, the students will have a hang out time that will include food, movies, and organized activities.
Parents are encouraged to drop off students between 5:30 pm and 6:00 pm and can pick up their student anytime between 9:00 pm and 9:30 pm.
