International Ministries
As part of our transethnic value, NLP’s International Ministry offers a loving family environment which welcomes individuals from all over the world. A large percentage of our international community is comprised of foreign students currently pursuing an education in the Hampton Roads area and beyond.
International Café Service
Sunday 10:00 a.m. (room 140, Kempsville campus) – with over 32 nations represented, join our worship service which includes elements of foreign languages, ethnic foods, prayer for the nations, and authentic community. The International Café worship team provides a place for you to use your gifts and talents (vocalists/musicians) in worshipping the Lord through a variety of styles, rhythms, and languages.
International Potluck (quarterly)
A fun-filled event celebrating our rich cultural diversity. If you desire a first-hand exposure to relating cross-culturally, this is your opportunity to come learn from the nationalities represented, as we fellowship over delicious meals.
International Life Groups
These are specific life groups that seek to facilitate relational growth in authentic multi-cultural communities.
Friendship Family
If you are interested in being a friend to foreign students and sharing God’s love with them through practical, caring friendships, this is your opportunity to serve. We currently have families that are reaching out to the international student community at Old Dominion University.
